The Focus
The challenge was to develop a packaging design that appealed to a modern consumer base. The design needed to be both visually appealing and informative, conveying the product’s benefits and unique selling points.
The focus of the design was to create packaging that was both aesthetically pleasing and functional. We wanted to communicate the natural and Ayurvedic aspects of the products while also ensuring that the packaging was easy to use and understand.
The Design
Inspired by the Kottakkal brand identity, we incorporated the leafy motif from the logo into the packaging design for both the soaps and shampoos. This motif symbolized the natural ingredients used in the products and created a sense of continuity across the entire range.
By incorporating the brand elements, we were able to create a packaging design that was both visually appealing and informative. The design effectively communicated the brand’s Ayurvedic heritage, the natural ingredients used, and the benefits of the products. This cohesive packaging design helped to establish a strong brand identity and differentiate Kottakkal soaps and shampoos from competitors on the market.
Key Design Elements
Leafy motif: This recurring element served as a visual link between the different packaging designs, reinforcing the brand’s Ayurvedic heritage.
Ingredient-specific motifs: To highlight the unique ingredients in each product, we incorporated small, subtle motifs related to the main ingredients. For example, the shampoo packaging featured a small flower motif to represent the floral extracts used in the formula. And the usage of different colors associated with the ingredients added depth to the design.
Clear labeling: The packaging included clear and concise labeling, highlighting the key benefits of each product and the ingredients used.
